Another change in this direction is the international launch of the previous preview for Google Assistant’s driving mode.
The feature is integrated into Google Maps for more seamless integration with smartphone navigation experiences.
To set Driving Mode, open Google Maps, tap your profile picture, then go to Settings> Navigation settings> Google Assistant Settings and turn on Tagging Mode.
Alternatively, let’s say “Google, open assistant settings”. Then select Transport> Driving Mode and turn it on.
App icons are usually larger and easier to use when running.
While using media apps in driving mode, tapping on the app icon opens basic media controls such as play / pause and next / previous tracks. A double tap allows you to “browse” more.
The search engine claimed that the assistant would read, make and receive calls, and the media would make it one of the popular streaming services.
Regarding Google Assistant’s proper speech detection, using Driving Mode can certainly help drivers avoid disruption.
