In November, not only in Lithuania, but also across Europe, it is designed to prevent prostate cancer. This year, three organizations have agreed on a common goal to call on men to speak louder and involve as many citizens as possible in active prostate cancer care activities. One of the most important events is "Uava Runaway", the final of the November action for men not only for men.
Prostate Cancer in Europe today is diagnosed at 450,000. Men The number of symptoms of prostate cancer diagnosed in Lithuania is up to 500. Clustering in the early stages does not show any clear signs and therefore men are urged to carry out the prostate antigen (PSA) test even though he feels great.
Pauls Rakštys, the head of the Society for the Treatment of Prostate Cancer, believes that prostate cancer is becoming more and more diagnosed at younger age, so older men should not be concerned about their health.
"Earlier, we had to check for this disease at the age of 50. Today, prostate cancer research should be done for over 40 years, especially for those whose family members have cancer," says P. Rakštys.
Every year in November, various activities are being organized to encourage people to undergo PSA tests, they are not afraid to talk aloud about prostate cancer and insist on their health to care for their loved ones.
This year, three organizations – a company against prostate cancer, a bearded November and US flight – joined forces to raise awareness this year about the prevention of prostate cancer.
The second group organizes the final bearded November event for the fourth time in a row, which began with a friends' competition and grew into an annual tradition involving more than 100 participants.
"In March, all marathons are over, people move less, so we thought it was a great time for rabbits and skunks to spend and spend an hour on the last Sunday of the month." The key idea is that if you find time for action , you can spend an hour and visit a doctor the next day, "says Modest Bacys, one of Usa Runners organizers.
Interest in this event is growing every year. This year's route is being prepared at the Botanical Garden of Vilnius University, where it is November 25th. It is supposed to attract up to 500 participants. The initiative is sponsored by the pharmaceutical companies Ipsen and Sanofi.
The event "Ufa Run" is invited not only by men but also by women and children. "We are waiting for anyone who can spread a report on the prevention of prostate cancer in a family of relatives. After all, women and children can encourage their family to research," says Bacys.
