The government is determined to control the profits made by oil companies, Lahcen Daoudi said on Monday in Rabat, the Minister for General Affairs and Administration.
The Executive Body did not accept the adoption of the Fuel Price Decree "contrary to what was stated in this respect," Daoudi said in answer to the Oral Question in the House of Representatives on the "Fuel Price Crisis" presented by the Istiqlalian Unity Group egalitarianism.
The minister has assured the government that he prefers to make time before the publication of this regulation, after companies have decided to cut prices to reach the levels recorded in 2015. The government believes that "the price is not urgent," he went on to point out that the ministry has data on reducing the sales prices of companies, which will be published next Wednesday in the House of Representatives to discuss the budget of this department.
In this context, Mr Daoudi reiterated the government's willingness to keep his promises to the national public.
