A 30-year-old British nurse died after her illness in Dubai, according to British media reports.
The BBC identified a victim as Charlotte Carter in Swansea, who worked for the National Health Service (NHS) in London.
According to the report, she felt bad at first when she was flying to Dubai on October 29th. Her condition worsened when she was in a taxi on her way to the hotel and had to be taken to a local hospital where she was killed dead.
On Facebook, Carter's friend Kate George – whom Carter visited in Dubai – wrote that she "has come to the cardiac arrest" on her way to her home.
"Charlotte was on the plane when she said she could not wait to see me and plan our week, it was perfectly fine, even in top form, and that was totally useless," she wrote. "Tragedy does not describe what happened to our beautiful, funny, charming girl."
The Chamber of Deputies adds that Carter had no travel insurance and that "her family is now facing tens of thousands of pounds to cover the cost of healthcare and bringing the body home."
In response, came friends of Carter who chose a page that could get £ 30,000 (AED 143,765) to pay for the repatriation of Carter's body. Up to now, GBP 20,828 (99,811 AED) has been selected.
"We've recently found out how much it will cost when we get it back – of course it does not include medical fees, etc. But it's another important goal to focus on and help," the site writes. "If we end up getting more money than needed, all the extra money will be donated to the charity of mental health close to Charlotte's heart."
