On Tuesday, the South American Football Confederation held a draw for another South American U-20 to be held in Chile from January 17 to February 10, 2019. The Colombia team led by Arturo Reyes was in Group A together with Chile, Brazil, Bolivia and Venezuela .
The current champion, Uruguay, was in Zone B along with Argentina, Ecuador, Paraguay, Ecuador and Peru. The first three of each group qualify for the resulting hexagon.

At this stage, the top four qualify for the World Championship in the category to be played in Poland. The Colombian Selection, directed by Arturo Reyes, will play two friendly matches against Brazil on November 15 and 20, in Belo Horizonte and Goiania, respectively.
The last Colombian experience in the South American Sub-20 was not fruitful because it occupied the last position of the last hexagon.
