Chocolate slows down aging

Chocolate, tea and coffee contain antioxidant polyphenols that help to suppress cell damage and help eliminate internal stress, which is the source of many diseases ranging from cancer to Alzheimer's.

Scientists at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg found that activation of zinc polyphenols contained in chocolate protects cells from the gas produced as a waste product. It is believed to play a key role in this waste gas, oxidative stress and aging that can damage human DNA.

Polyphenols alone can not remove this harmful gas, but when combined with zinc, they create a complex mega complex and can destroy this harmful gas. Researchers also claim that they are cocoa, flavonoids, natural compounds that help blood vessel health and reduce inflammation. Experts, however, warn that chocolate should not be consumed too much, excessive consumption of chocolate brings the risk of heart failure.
